TGO sucks and their Adm David is a little Dictator wann-a-bee, who bans anybody who doesnt agree with him! Also their USGO (nationwide) forum went under!

Tnseeer, I feel that review is unfair. I have been a member of TGO for a few years and the rules on the forum are very fair. If you chose to break those rules then that is your fault. Also you wouldn't have been banned had you broken a rule only once. It had to of been multiple violations of the terms of the site. I don't know the exact details of your situation but, I do know how the forum works. Also the comment about USGO going under? What is that about, do you have any idea how long it takes for a forum to gain momentum and members? Come on now give things a chance to get off the ground.

With 1,769 active members, out of a total 5,307 users, for such a small demographic (Tennessee) -- even though there are members from all over the world -- I'd say that TGO is very well received. The rules are clear and simple, IMO, and the majority of the users have no problem with them. The admin and mods, while firm, get along great with us and are quite courteous. Sounds like you're one of the small percentage of banned users who couldn't play nicely with the rest of us and ended up "butthurt" and "wronged". Grow up.

Tnseeer, you must have forgotten something. The owner of the site sets the rules. If you can't play by his rules which,by the way you agreed to when you joined,you will get ejected. Start your own site and start your own rules. I look at it this way. I am a guest there. I wouldn't think of putting my boots up on his coffee table. Respect and common sense. Sheesh.

To the person who is posting FAKE Comments and using a name of someone on TGO. I insist that you stop immediately. This site is for honest feed back if you are going to post false comments your IP Address will be banned from this site. We are fair and will post good and bad reviews if they are legit. However falsifying the comments with a username that is not your own is not acceptable.

Mike, Wait, It says above that that was posted by OhShoot and to my knowledge he is still an active member of the forum? As far as why it happened I dont know. Like I said I dont know what the exact situation was but I have found them to be fair on the rules. If someone continually breaks the rules then they should fully expect to be banned. I know if rules are broken on most forum sites it results in the same manner. It looks like no one knows the exact situation and we cannot really speculate as to what went on especially considering private message capabilities on the forum. Who knows what could have been said. I will stand by my original response, I like the forum and have no problems with David at all, its his house and I don't wanna pee in his refrigerator, if I did I am sure he would kick me out too.

Only been a member at TGO since Sept 12th, and had only good experiences with the site. Great Community, glad I found it.

TGO is a waste of time unless you agree with the following: 1. Cops are great and never do any wrong. 2. The proper way to carry a handgun is concealed. 3. "Comment Removed by Admin - Inappropriate" Instead of deleting posts which management thinks are inappropriate they will change the wording of the posts. They ban for nearly anything. It is actually pretty funny. These jokers ban pro second amendment sites such as TFA, GOC, and others.

I log on to TGO everyday and I have had no problems. I am happy I found this site.

Been there since the start, Jan 07. Great site, great people. People do come along from time to time and get a warning for behavior that goes against the rules. Keep on, they are given a vacation or shown the door. Don't be an a$$clown and all is good, just like any other site that has rules.

I have never had a bad thing to say about this forum.

TGO is one of only two firearms related forums I will spend any time on. The conversations are always civil, and the members feel a sense of community that leads to many "real life" friendships. If someone is banned, it's for a good reason. I've always forund the site owner/admin and the moderators to be level headed and fair. Also as mentioned, it IS privately owned, so conversation that does not meet the standards set by the terms of use is fair game. I for one enjoy having a site to go to that isn't inflammatory, and peppered with foul language.

Really guys and gals narrowed minded people who can't play by the rules like to cry the loudest. TGO is a great site, very informatitve on recent laws, not to mention a great way to reach out and interact with like minded individuals. I guess if you can't play by the rules and get canned go to another site and cry!!!!!

TGO is a fine gun forum. I have made many friends there. All of them good people. There is tons of valid information there as well. It is a fine site. As for the "Mike.357" comments above those are not mine, but rather an imposter who has a fascination with me. tnseer, you have no credibility.

No site is perfect, but TGO is as good as they come. Good group of individuals, and a knowledgeable bunch. There are always a few that don't like the rules (even I don't agree 100% all the time), but they don't have to like them, they just have to abide by them, or find a place that is more to their liking. I've been on a lot of sites, but TGO is the one I return to.

So you got banned!!! Before you bash the site tell everyone the true reason why? Instead you decide to bash them with a thread like this. Get over it you got banned from a forum whoopty dam doo. Yeah TGO may have its quirks at times but it is a overall great site/forum that is very active especially for its size. Things arent gonna be perfect everyday on every forum. Also most everyone that has ever been banned as far as I know were either complete Askhole trolls or continued to break the simple rules that are in place for the entire forum.

Folks, the person who posted the negative comment is an individual who has been banned *DOZENS* of times from the forum now under countless different aliases. Most recently "AMD65". I am not worried in the slightest what this guy thinks and would encourage everyone else just to ignore him. But thanks for the support. :)

KWIK!!!------ You get banned from every single forum you have ever belonged to. You were banned for being a idiot that likes to get things started all the time. You even were banned from a Golden Retriever forum. Your lucky to even have a HCP. Please dont start your crap here to... To Comment Author kwikrnu / Oct 15, 2009 You should get your facts straight before spouting, they do not say all cops do no wrong, there is just no reason to lump all LEO's into one basket, I am sure there are pains in what ever profession you have and as far as open carry the only thing I have seen is that it will draw unneeded attention and eliminate your element of surprise. It is commonly noted by many members that open carry is their choice...This is still America for a few more days, if you don't like it don't go to the site....

David gets pissed if anything is said on his site against the cops. Maybe it is because he has cop relatives. Maybe he has friends who are cops. Maybe he wants to be a cop. The simple truth is quote a few legitimate news stories about cops who have trampled civil rights or post negative views about cops on his site and you're going to be looking at a ban hammer. That is fine, it is his site. I'm just pointing out that the site is moderated heavily and if one posts something which does not fit in with the view of management it will be deleted or edited to change the meaning or the poster will be banned and most of the posts deleted. This happened to me last year. The management deleted nearly all of my posts and they changed the wording of some. There was no cussing or swearing or vulgar content. It was done to simply humiliate me and make it difficult for those wishing to know what happened to find out what happened.

More falsehoods... We don't ban TFA anything, we promote the NRA, GOA, and TFA equally. We do prohibit spamming of advertisements when overzealous members of those organizations (particularly TFA in the past) get a little crazy with their links, but even that has resolved itself. As the rest of you can see, we have a great group of moderators who clamp down fast on nonsense and disruptive users like Kwikrnu who sign up to do nothing more than malign those in uniform who serve (probably has to do with his own encounters with the police) [comment changed by request of commenter]and who just want to cause problems with our other members. 5,000+ members and growing. You can't argue that our members are happy with TGO when you have stats like that. :)

I have been on TGO for about two years. I have learned quite a bit about fire arms and have met some great people. I have nothing but positive things to say about this site and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in firearms and protecting our rights to keep and bear arms.

Moved to TN, two years ago from CT... Great friendly State and have been a member of TGO and think it's a good place to hang out.....

Ok lets get some things straight here. To those that say they ban organizations - I have posted links to many sites that they have no problems with. If you continually post the same link over and over again it becomes spam advertising. No site owner will alow this. Also if a site owner does not agree with your post or my post I fully expect them to change it, its their site. Just as you comment got edited here because you cant be civil and act like a mature adult. This truely shows why you got banned.

TGO is the one gun forum that I check every day for sure. I was checking a couple others but have lost interest in those and keep coming back to TGO. Good folks and good topics makes for a good time for all. Play fair and don't throw sand, and everything's cool in the sandbox.

10 stars for TGO. Sure sounds to me like some TROLLAGE is going on. TGO is awesome, and I have yet to see David act as you described. He seems to be a good MOD who fairly represents his users. Most of us don't want trolling, spamming or any other douche-baggery polluting TGO anyhow. So I'm going to go out a limb here and say that it's probably a good the that the OP is not lurking around in TGO waters.

Great site. I I know of only one other gun related forum where the people are as civil and get along as good as TGO. I am more of a reader than a poster but I love the site. If someone comes just to cause trouble, they don't last. It's as simple as that. I rate it a 10.

Well after David's Slander of Kwikrnu and calling him a criminal with a record, seems little David is now scared and retracted the comment, but the damage is done, also Gun Geek put up a Disclaimer about his Forum! A little to late. Kwikrnu should sue both of these for Slander and ruining his good name and rep. with talk of a Criminal record. Kwikrnu, you now have David trembling and running scared! Good job!

I'm going to demand that TGO david retract his statement implying I have a criminal record. I do not. If you do not remove your libelous comment I will sue you for defamation.

Been a member for over a year. Just recently became a Benefactor. All has been good for me, I visit it multiple times weekly.

Kwik, you can kiss it. Your answer to everything is "I'll sue" and you hide behind that threat constantly while running your mouth on the Internet. You should just meet up with me in person sometime so that I can discuss the comments you've made about me and my children on Bill's site. Then we can discuss who's going to sue who for what.

Kwikrnue, you have been banned by most sites that you have been on it seems, or at a minimum, been confrontational on all of them. You are a party to shady deals, whether it is you or the people you deal with, that's up for others to decide. The definition of an Internet Troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community. You are the poster child for this definition.

I have copied the source code and this page. I will give it to my lawyer tomorrow if it is not removed immediately. I have the time and money to follow through with this and you probably know it. I do not have a criminal record. I have never been arrested. I served honorably 8 years in the military. To defame me in that way shows the true character of the person running TGO.

Kwikrnu is a jerk who deserved to be banned... but TGO really is too quick on the trigger as far as closing threads, threatening anyone who doesn't fall on their knees to worship LEOs, prohibiting links to unapproved sites, etc. There is an underlying mentality of strictly controlling the flow of information, which I think is contrary to what the spirit of any internet forum ought to be. Lots of good people & information on the site, though.

I'm on the forum everyday, I don't say much prolly b/c i'm just dam good with the Search tool lol. I was not making an idle threat . I have sued numerous persons over the years and won all but one time. I take my reputation seriously. Spreading rumors about my character and background are not taken lightly. I appreciate that the site owner here decided to edit the comments. I hold a government job where I have been background checked. I hold a class A license with a hazardous materials endorsement and have been background checked by the TSA. I have been background checked by the Tennessee department of safety and I have a current HCP. I have never been arrested. I have never been charged with a crime. I have never been in jail. I am not a crook. I have never made an unfair deal. TGO is the best firearms site out there. It's only a few whiners who don't like getting their hand slapped that complain about the way David handles his site.

TGO is GREAT! My source for keeping up with ALL things that go !!BANG!! From staying on top of the carry laws, to just news in general TGO is TOPS. Just made my 200th post yesterday! I've been on TGO- the minute I recieved my HCP, whenever I get a new carry weapon, or when I hear news that just "gets my goat". Always gettin to meet a Great bunch of folks, (and strickj - hehe). TGO is the place to share whazzup. I rate it "NONE BETTER" (IMO.) And by the way...Thanks for sharing the venue with us David. FOLLOW THE D%#* rules or get tossed. Good site, I like it very much. If you are not happy there then do not visit. No place pleases evevryone but I have heard very few bad reviews except by those who do not want to go by the posted rules.

newbie! As far as the comment regarding the Lawsuit against FirearmSites.com, There really is no Basis, We didn't make the comment. We changed the comment at the commenter request. Although the disclaimer was added later, yes (In order to keep the peace so to speak) if you read our Terms of use that have always been here you will clearly see that this is open content and we are not responsible for the comments of others. Good and Bad comments get posted here as you can see. The only ones that were deleted were duplicates or those from someone posing as another user. Completely childish act I might add. Please stop the foolish child play and threats of suing one another, don't plague the already bogged down court system with such frivolous stuff. LET THIS BE THE END OF IT.

Been on TGO and many other forums and I really like TGO. Excellent source of info and the local flavor definitely sets it apart from a lot of the other sites. Keep up the good work.

Once again, to the person who is falsely representing members of the TGO community, your IP address has been logged, if it continues. You will be banned from this site, not just commenting, the entire site permanently. If you have something to say, be an adult and quit hiding behind other names. Use your own name and stand up for what you believe in and post constructive comments. The true maturity or lack thereof for the person who is doing this is really coming through. And just a note, it is not Kwik that is doing this I can assure you.
